About the Position
Pacific Piano School is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and professional piano instructor for a full-time, in-person teaching position in San Jose, CA. We are looking for educators who are passionate about teaching and committed to supporting student growth through structured, high-quality instruction.
Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in piano performance, pedagogy, performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check. This position will begin part-time with a gradual transition to full-time teaching 30+ hours per week with demonstrated retention of students and achieving Pacific Piano School's standards of teaching.
Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $45-$52/hr for private lessons. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 30 days on the job. Health benefit options are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.
