A Full Time Collaboration Engineer needs strong expertise in networking, unified communications, and collaboration platforms, typically supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, Zoom, and certifications such as CCNP Collaboration or Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator are highly valued. At Jack Henry, we're more than a technology company, we're a force for good in financial services. We're redefining how community banks and credit unions connect with the people they serve. Our mission is rooted in people inspired innovation, empowering financial institutions to deliver seamless, secure, and human centered experiences. We deliver cutting-edge solutions that are paving the way for the next generation of digital banking and payments, but our true impact begins with our associates. If you're ready to help transform an industry and grow with a company that values purpose, collaboration, and excellence then we'd love to meet you.
The Enterprise Collaboration team is Jack Henry's day-to-day owner of the Microsoft 365 collaboration stack. We support every associate who needs email access, distribution lists, shared mailboxes, Teams workspaces, SharePoint permissions, Copilot licensing, and help with meetings, conference rooms, or Teams Phone. Over the last three years the team has closed more than 16,000 tickets at a 98.5% successful-closure rate, scaling from 3,400 tickets in 2023 to a steady pace above 5,000 per year. Roughly 93% of our work is service-catalog fulfillment - we operate as an enablement and provisioning engine for the entire company.
We are hiring an additional Enterprise Collaboration Engineer to expand bench depth, grow our Copilot and AI-tooling expertise, and help us continue scaling the platform that 12,000+ Jack Henry associates rely on every day.
As an Enterprise Collaboration Engineer, you will be a technical contributor responsible for the design, deployment, and day-to-day support of Microsoft 365 collaboration services across Jack Henry. You will own provisioning and lifecycle work for Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and adjacent licensing. You will partner with Identity, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver secure, reliable, and well-governed collaboration experiences, and you will help reduce manual ticket volume through automation and self-service.
This is a remote position, and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Lenexa, KS; Springfield, MO; Monett, MO; Birmingham, AL; Charlotte, NC; or Louisville, KY.
The salary range for this position is $66,450- $98,400 and will be determined based on location and experience level.
This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship and support. Please do not apply if at any time you will need immigration support now or in the future (i.e., H-1B, PERM). All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.
What you'll be responsible for:
Microsoft 365 Service Operations
  • Provision, configure, and support Exchange Online mailboxes, distribution lists, shared mailboxes, and mail-flow policies in line with established standards.
  • Administer Microsoft Teams, including team and channel lifecycle, meeting policies, Teams Phone, and conference-room device support.
  • Manage SharePoint Online and OneDrive site provisioning, permissions, sharing policies, and storage governance.
  • Support Microsoft 365 Copilot licensing, onboarding, prompt guidance, and end-user enablement.
  • Maintain Visio, Project, and other M365 add-on licensing and entitlements.

Access & Permissions Management
  • Own permissions and access requests across the M365 footprint, applying least-privilege principles and segregation-of-duties controls.
  • Partner with Identity and Security teams to align entitlement reviews, conditional access, and audit evidence.
  • Triage and resolve cross-tenant access, guest access, and external sharing requests.

Automation, Tooling & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify high-volume, repetitive request patterns and convert them to self-service catalog items, PowerShell automation, or Power Platform workflows.
  • Maintain and extend ServiceNow catalog items, runbooks, and knowledge articles for the team.
  • Contribute to change management - design, document, and execute changes (CHGs/CTAs) with appropriate testing and rollback plans.

Incident Response & End-User Support
  • Respond to and resolve incidents involving Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Copilot - including sign-in issues, sync failures, and meeting/voice quality.
  • Serve as a Tier-2/Tier-3 escalation point for the service desk and partner teams.
  • Participate in on-call or incident-response rotations when required.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience administering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
  • Strong working knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD), conditional access, and Microsoft licensing.
  • Hands-on PowerShell scripting experience for M365 administration (Exchange Online, Microsoft Graph, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Experience operating in a ticket-driven environment with a service management platform (ServiceNow strongly preferred), including incidents, service requests, change records, and catalog tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance high request volume with quality - comfortable owning hundreds of tickets per quarter while maintaining accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate between business stakeholders and technical teams.

What would be nice for you to have:
  • Production experience supporting Microsoft 365 Copilot - licensing, deployment, prompt guidance, and end-user adoption.
  • Power Platform experience (Power Automate, Power Apps) for workflow automation.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-102 (M365 Administrator Expert), MS-700 (Teams Administrator Associate), or MS-721 (Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer).
  • Familiarity with regulated-industry compliance requirements (SOC 2, FFIEC) and information protection tooling (Purview, sensitivity labels, DLP).
  • Experience supporting Teams Phone, conference-room hardware, and Microsoft Teams Rooms.
  • Background in financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience administering Google Workspace/Gmail and Slack.

If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this opportunity. Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement on this posting, we still encourage you to apply. We're looking for passionate, driven individuals who align with our mission and can bring unique perspectives to our team.
