Full time CNAs, or Certified Nursing Assistants, are healthcare professionals who provide direct care to patients, typically in hospitals, nursing homes, or long-term care facilities. They assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility. Working full time usually means they work 35-40 hours per week or more, often in shifts that may include nights, weekends, or holidays. CNAs play a vital role in supporting nurses and ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. To become a CNA, one must complete a state-approved training program and pass a certification exam.

What is the highest a CNA can get paid?

The highest pay for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) typically depends on experience, location, and work setting, with some CNAs earning up to $20 to $30 per hour in high-demand areas or specialized facilities. Advanced certifications or additional skills can also lead to higher wages or supervisory roles, but CNAs generally have a capped salary range compared to other healthcare positions.

Why do so many CNAs quit?

Many CNAs quit due to low pay, physically and emotionally demanding work, limited advancement opportunities, and high stress levels. The job often involves long shifts, exposure to challenging patient situations, and insufficient support, leading to burnout and turnover.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Full Time CNA, and why are they important?
