Job description

WEBTOON Entertainment is a leading global entertainment company and home to some of the world's largest storytelling platforms. As the global leader and pioneer of the mobile webcomic format, WEBTOON Entertainment has transformed comics and visual storytelling for fans and creators.

With its CANVAS UGC platform empowering anyone to become a creator, and a growing roster of superstar WEBTOON Originals creators and series, WEBTOON Entertainment’s passionate fandoms are the new face of pop culture. WEBTOON Entertainment adaptations are available on Netflix, Prime Video, Crunchyroll, and other screens around the world, and the company’s content partners include Discord, HYBE, and DC Comics, among many others.

WEBTOON is seeking a high-performing Client Partner, Advertising Sales to join our U.S. Ads team. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven seller with a strong track record of building pipelines, developing agency and advertiser partnerships, and closing digital advertising deals.

The right candidate brings an existing network within the advertising ecosystem, or a demonstrated ability to build one quickly, and knows how to turn market opportunity into revenue. Just as important, this person is a thoughtful, low-ego partner who builds trust internally and externally, works well cross-functionally, and contributes to a collaborative team culture.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity intended to identify a top-tier long-term addition to the team.

Candidates should operate at full-time caliber from day one and be ready to contribute immediately.

Initially, this role will begin as a 3-month temporary assignment. Following a successful performance evaluation at the 3-month mark, the role will convert to a permanent, full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the full sales cycle for advertising partnerships, from prospecting and pitching through negotiation, closing, and handoff.

  • Build and grow relationships with advertisers, agencies, and key decision-makers across assigned categories or accounts.

  • Leverage an existing network—or proactively develop one—to create new business opportunities and expand WEBTOON’s presence in the market.

  • Identify, prioritize, and pursue high-potential advertisers and agency partners using market insights, category knowledge, and outbound sales strategies.

  • Develop strategic, customized advertising solutions that align with client objectives and showcase the value of WEBTOON’s platform and audience.

  • Serve as a strong commercial lead in client conversations, with a focus on advancing opportunities and closing revenue.

  • Respond to RFPs and develop client-ready proposals, recommendations, and presentations.

  • Partner effectively with internal teams, including Ad Operations, Sales Support, and other cross-functional stakeholders, to ensure smooth campaign launch and a strong client experience.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline visibility, forecasting, and account updates in Salesforce or other CRM tools.

  • Stay current on digital media, advertising, and category trends to effectively position WEBTOON in a competitive marketplace.

  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-first sales culture by sharing insights, communicating clearly, and operating with professionalism and maturity.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5–8 years of demonstrated success in a sales, account management, or business development role, preferably selling digital media, programmatic, or advertising solutions.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a team-based, collaborative sales environment with a focus on collective success over individual targets.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Marketing, Communications, etc.).

  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and client management skills.

  • High proficiency in CRM systems and pipeline reporting.

  • Must be highly organized, self-directed, and possess a strong commitment to team goals.

  • Interest in advertising, digital media, and entertainment/fandom culture (e.g., comics, anime, novels, or pop culture) is a plus.
