Job description

You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients.
Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Eligibility Representative to manage patient insurance eligibility checks and prior authorizations for both medical and pharmacy needs. The role includes dispensing specialty medications and acting as a backup for existing staff.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
  • Handling patient insurance eligibility checks and prior authorizations.
  • Dispensing specialty medications, including Rheumatology and Osteoporosis, under the guidance of a physician.
  • Supporting workflows, prior authorizations, and dispensing within a physician's office.
  • Providing backup support for existing staff members.

Skills
  • Experience with prior authorizations and eligibility processes.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Armenian language skills preferred for patient translation, but not required.

Schedule / Shift
Open to full-time or starting part-time with the potential to scale up hours as needed.

  • Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
