Job Description

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining core IT infrastructure, systems, and support services to ensure reliable and secure operations across the organization, reporting to the IT Director on the IT team. A full-time position, the schedule is generally Monday-Friday for a total of 40 hours. Although the position is regularly Monday-Friday, ministry happens in the evenings and during the weekends. All Mariners staff are expected to work during Christmas Eve and Easter services, as well as participate in Rooted once/year.

  • Monitor and respond quickly to incoming requests related to IT issues
  • Maintain computer systems and act as support if any system goes down.
  • Responsible for PC's, Printers, Servers and related equipment (monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, etc).
  • Maintain user PCs, including upgrades and configuration as needed.
  • Assist with onboarding of new users.
  • Keep inventory of all equipment, software, and license users.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of system admin and/or helpdesk experience
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, PC repair, and network management
  • Resourcefulness and quick-thinking nature to troubleshoot new and critical technical issues as they arise.
  • Ability to deploy, configure, and support operating systems on desktop and mobile
  • Understanding and appreciation for information security within systems and user devices.
  • Strong drive to provide excellent customer service and experience, with an awareness of prioritization of tasks, stakeholders, budget, and time.
