Anesthesiologist opportunity to join Virginia Mobile anesthesia team with occasional coverage at Endo Group, Virginia Eye, Dominion, and Plastics

Description

North American Partners in Anesthesia is seeking an experience board certified anesthesiologist to join their Virginia Mobile MD only team. Opportunity to work within several North Virginia NAPA ASC facilities. Including but not limited to: Eye Center Surgery of Winchester, TheGastroenterology Center of VA, Northern Virginia Eye Surgery Center, Dominion Hospital

  • The Gastroenterology Center was Northern Virginia's first outpatient endoscopy center to receive accreditation by The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
  • The center's colorectal surgeons have been voted "Best/Top" Doctors in the Washingtonian and Northern Virginia magazines.

Case Assignments

Case Mix: Cataract surgery, corneal surgery, oculoplastic, glaucoma surgery, general ophthalmology, GI, on occasion, plastics and vascular cases.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician
