How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Deliver oncology therapies by safely administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, strictly adhering to clinical protocols to ensure maximum patient safety.

  • Manage treatment side effects by continuously assessing patients for expected symptoms, allergic reactions, or hypersensitivities, and taking immediate, decisive action to preserve patient well-being.

  • Champion safe clinical environments by practicing impeccable handling of cytotoxic agents and managing specialized infusion technologies (including PICC lines, PortaCaths, and programmable pumps).

  • Coordinate holistic patient journeys by collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to manage comprehensive care plans, from initial treatment through to thoughtful discharge planning.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Chemotherapy credentialed from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
