ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Registered Nurse - Oncology

Schedule

This position requires a Day 3x12-Hour shift from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM. The nursing staff is expected to work every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care for patients with hematological malignancies and solid oncology diagnoses in an oncology unit. Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, monitoring of patient conditions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Patient ratios are set at 1:4, emphasizing the importance of individualized patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Administering chemotherapy and managing infusions.
  • Monitoring and reporting on patient conditions, including vital signs and reactions to treatments.
  • Educating patients and families about treatment plans and care protocols.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary support teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Documenting patient care using the EPIC charting system.
  • Floating to different units within the professional skillset as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an oncology setting.
  • Active NJ or Compact nursing license.
  • Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC).
  • Experience with the EPIC charting system is mandatory.
