is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Cheese Buyer to manage our outstanding cheese collection and share their passion with our community! This role involves more than just ordering; it's about fostering connections with local creameries, creating appealing displays that spark culinary curiosity, and ensuring our community has access to top-quality, sustainably produced dairy products. If you are a meticulous individual with a love for food, a talent for inventory, and a genuine desire to help people find their new favorite cheese, we have an excellent opportunity for you-apply today!
Select, order, receive, wrap, price, and stock cheese; offer samples and suggestions for purchase and nutrition information to customers; design and deliver community education series. Knowledge of current trends in the natural foods industry is desirable as well as ability to offer cooking and suggesting pairing choices with food and wine. Experience managing inventory, working with industry pricing trends and vendors preferred.
The purpose of this position is to order, receive, manage inventory, and stock sub-department items while meeting objectives for sales and customer service. The Replenishment Buyers, with assistance from Marketing and Merchandising, also organize and carry out product samplings. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
