Marina Distributing is looking for a creative and motivated Social Media & Content Coordinator to join our marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing our social media presence, creating engaging content that aligns with our brand identity, and supporting marketing initiatives that drive customer engagement and sales growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop content strategies, schedule posts, monitor social media channels, and analyze performance metrics. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with a passion for storytelling and a strong understanding of social media trends and best practices. Responsibilities
  • Develop, curate, and schedule engaging content across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Own the content calendar for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms
  • Shoot and edit short-form video: product content, behind-the-scenes at the warehouse, retail features, lifestyle content
  • Engage daily — comments, DMs, community management, and creator outreach
  • Coordinate UGC, influencer seeding, and micro-creator partnerships
  • Support retail with content for launches, promos, and account features
  • Track follower growth, engagement, and content performance
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align content with company campaigns and goals.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and foster a positive community.
  • Analyze social media metrics and prepare regular reports to inform strategy improvements.
  • Manage content calendars to ensure consistent and timely delivery of posts.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts and content creation.
  • 1–3 years running social for a brand (beverage, food, fitness, or lifestyle a plus) — or a killer personal content track record
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong video skills: CapCut/Premiere, comfortable on and behind camera
  • Familiarity with social media management tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar.
  • Basic graphic design skills and experience with tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret social media data.
  • You genuinely understand TikTok/IG culture and trends — this can't be taught
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, fast, and comfortable in a startup where you'll wear multiple hats
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
