Job description

Summary The Vault Manager at Bud's Goods of New Jersey oversees and controls the inventory of bulk cannabis products, raw goods, and packaged goods, ensuring compliant receipt, storage, auditing, and movement of inventory within the facility. This role manages cannabis package tag adjustments, waste disposal procedures, and the preparation of bulk cannabis for sorting, quality control, and packaging, including verifying weight and creating necessary Metrc items and tags. The Vault Manager tracks and records weight changes due to processing loss, waste, moisture, or quality grade adjustments, such as shake collection, and oversees inventory received from licensed vendors to fulfill retail store needs, ensuring organized storage and accurate tracking. Responsible for the safety, cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the vault and receiving areas, the Vault Manager conducts regular audits of cannabis, raw goods, and packaged products while maintaining compliance with company standards. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this is a full-time role based in Linden, NJ, Monday through Friday. Job DutiesReceive cannabis deliveries, update inventory tracking software, and store manifests per regulations and policy.Prepare outgoing manifests for cannabis products and ensure proper storage according to requirements.Supply bulk cannabis, pre-rolls, and concentrates, including Metrc tags, for packaging department work orders.Organize cannabis for sorting and grading, assigning Metrc tags and containers to sorted flower.Manage inventory of packaged goods from cannabis vendors for retail and licensed location fulfillment.Maintain an organized vault, tracking the location of all products and Metrc tags at all times.Oversee waste procedures, including proper storage and documentation of waste material and records.Perform inventory adjustments for processing loss, weight variances, waste, grade changes, and breakage.Conduct routine and monthly exhaustive audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.Ensure proper storage conditions and functioning climate control systems in the vault.Skills & Attributes Superior verbal and written communication and presentation skills with proficiency of grammar and the ability to adapt tone/style to a variety of audiencesStrong organizational, critical thinking, presentation, and project management skillsAbility to classify and triage issues and take appropriate action to resolve issues in self-sufficient mannerAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects while adhering to timelinesExceptional interpersonal and relationship building skillsAdvanced math and reading comprehensionStrong business acumen with exceptional attention to detail, high stress tolerance, and exemplary emotional intelligenceAbility to provide clear, timely, and coordinated directives, catering communication styles to different levels of the workforceAbility to prioritize the business in all decision makingAbility to follow through and meet daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and auditing requirements Experience and Education:Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of related field experience2+ years of management experience2+ years of inventory or manufacturing experience, preferably with 1+ years in cannabis industry Proven track record of managing the scope of operations in a complex and highly regulated business environment Must have a solid understanding of the cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further understanding and knowledge of the industry, regulations, market trends and competition Strong working knowledge of Metrc Competency in Microsoft applications Strong math and reading comprehension  Working Conditions/Physical Demands:Able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
