Job description

Overview

Piedmont Candy Company is hiring aPackaging Technician to support our production team by operating and setting upbagger and tub packaging machines.

This is a hands-on role focused onmachine setup, minimizing downtime, and ensuring packaging accuracy and quality. Prior experience with our specific equipment is not required-we're looking for candidates withmechanical aptitude and machine operating experience who are eager to learn.


Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operatebagger and tub packaging machines
  • Prepare and verify packaging materials for accuracy (labels, dates, product codes)
  • Adjust and calibratescales, labeling equipment, and printers
  • Perform machine changeovers and assist with startup/shutdown
  • Monitor equipment performance and minimize downtime
  • Inspect finished product forquality, consistency, and correct packaging
  • Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
  • Follow allsafety procedures, PPE requirements, and GMP standards

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience inmachine operation, manufacturing, or production (preferred)
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn equipment quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
