Navigating discrepancies or incomplete information often requires strong attention to detail and effective communication with clinical staff. Staying up to date with regulatory requirements and coding standards is also essential, as is balancing a steady workflow to meet reporting deadlines. Collaborating with the cancer registry team and participating in ongoing training can help address these challenges and promote efficiency.

Excellent organizational skills, discretion, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for accurate record-keeping and patient data handling. These competencies ensure precise data collection and reporting, supporting cancer research, patient care, and compliance with regulatory standards.
