Our ever-expanding team is looking for a Plant Engineer to join the team! Candidates should be willing to work in Hattiesburg, MS, Houston/ Sugar Land, Texas, Fife, WA and Tolleson, AZ. Candidates should also be willing to travel among our facilities for WCC sponsored travel at least 10% of the time.

For more than 35 years WCC has been providing Coca-Cola with high-quality P.E.T. bottles and preforms. Our team is developing and looking for a Plant Engineer to join our Engineering team. This person will primarily work primarily with the local plants and will have the opportunity to visit locations in Houston/ Sugar Land, Texas, Fife, Washington, and Hattiesburg, Mississippi. 10% company travel required.
What does day-to-day life at WCC look like?
Our plants are highly automated and fast-paced manufacturing facilities that function with our mission "to provide lowest cost, highest quality products to our bottlers," in mind. Engaging in plant-level teams to understand the total scope of the business, you will be learning our business and growing your career. You will have a variety of assignments and responsibilities in many disciplines such as operations, engineering, logistics, finance, and quality. Each assignment will be tailored to your experience and designed to develop your knowledge, skills, and abilities to quickly advance within WCC. Some promotional opportunities will require relocation.
Position will oversee facility maintenance and technical projects at the Tolleson location. Utilize engineering and maintenance software to accomplish tasks. Lead and co-lead Continuous Improvement projects. Participate in installation and start-up of new equipment. Communicate with OEM's on fault resolution.
Requirements
Who are you?
The ideal candidate would have experience on the following plant infrastructure equipment:
  • Chillers
  • Process pumps
  • Cooling towers
  • Chemical treatment of water systems
  • 2-stage and 3-stage air compressors
  • Laser guided vehicles and their programming
  • Work closely with the Corporate Engineering team on capital projects and new installations
  • Assist with repairs as needed
  • Factory electrical systems (switch gears, transformers, busway)

You should be motivated to accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, have a general knowledge of Engineering software and a mechanical aptitude. You are also continuous improvement minded and flexible to improving processes for efficiency.
Ideally, you have a bachelor's degree with a primary focus in Engineering. Technical degrees related to manufacturing with 5 or more years of experience in industry may be considered.
