Position Summary

This position assists the Production Manager and team with planning, setup, and preparation of audio, visual, and/or lighting needs before live events. This position provides technical operation and troubleshooting during live events, and participates in striking and putting away audio, visual, and/or lighting gear and setups.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with set up, training, operation, and strike of all technical production equipment and software, before, during, and after events including but not limited to: audio systems, software, consoles, gear; video switcher, playback, PTZ cameras, projectors; lighting system, consoles, gear; comm systems
  • Coordinate with Production Manager to establish and manage production needs for live events
  • Assist Production Manager with troubleshooting and performing minor maintenance on equipment and systems
  • Media management, including importing graphics, logging footage, meta data, and archive of video assets
  • Editing videos, graphics, create content for production related needs
  • Maintain professional demeanor, and communicate show details, changes, issues with team
Requirements:

Required Experience/Skills

  • Minimum 1-2 years of live event production experience
  • Experience with or knowledge of: video switchers, routing systems, cameras, playback, editing, lighting systems, audio consoles, and/or comm systems
  • Strong knowledge of audio and video signal flow
  • Ability to do basic video editing
  • Ability to interpret event technical documents including technical riders, signal flow diagrams, input lists, stage plots, run-of- show, cue lists
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment and demonstrate initiative
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Experience/Skills

  • Experience with or knowledge of: Panasonic Kairos, Dante, Blackmagic Videohub, Q-SYS, PTZ cameras, ProPresenter, Adobe Premiere, Obsidian Onyx, Allen and Heath dLive, Green-Go, and/or Resolume
  • Basic knowledge of networking systems

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College degree, and/or certification in production technology related field and/or equivalent work experience
