Job description

***This role is contingent upon award***

Corner Alliance is a dynamic, growing consulting firm that devotes itself to providing an enriching employee experience while working in meaningful ways to create results for the government. We are currently seeking a Senior RAN Engineer with 8+ years of experience required to join our team and fully embrace our commitment to deliver, grow and thrive.

About the Role:

As a Senior RAN Engineer supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to conduct advanced radio access network analysis that identifies coverage gaps and quantifies their impact on first responder communications. You will translate technical findings into engineering-based justifications and investment recommendations, reviewing vendor designs and proposals to support coverage-enhancement decisions across a national network.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Conduct detailed engineering analysis of AOIs to identify coverage gaps, validate need, assess performance conditions, and quantify potential impacts on Federal client’s network operational performance

  • Produce engineering‑based justifications and prioritization recommendations for AOIs, including technical evidence, public safety relevance, feasibility considerations, and investment dependencies

  • Review vendor-provided RAN designs, coverage predictions, and technical proposals and provide expert feedback and recommendations for improvement

  • Develop and maintain documentation packages, including engineering summaries, AOI analysis reports, technical briefing materials, RF analysis outputs, and traceable decision support artifacts

  • Support technical validation of reinvestment program artifacts by performing data quality checks, cross‑dataset comparisons, and verification of vendor‑submitted deliverables

  • Participate in technical discussions with internal SMEs, vendor engineering teams, and program leadership to support ongoing AOI refinement, coverage‑enhancement planning, and investment strategy alignment

  • Maintain audit‑ready engineering records documenting inputs, assumptions, analytical steps, rationale, recommendations, and technical outcomes

  • Provide subject matter expertise to inform future network enhancements, long‑term RAN planning, and public‑safety‑driven coverage improvements

  • Carry out our Commitments to Deliver, Grow, and Thrive

Location:

You will work as part of a dynamic team remotely. You will work at the client site dependent on contract requirements.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field

  • 15+ years of hands-on Radio Access Network (RAN) engineering experience, including design, optimization, performance engineering, and operational support

  • Expertise in air interface, propagation, capacity modeling, mobility management, RF engineering, and RAN architecture

  • Demonstrated experience using industry-standard RF planning and modeling tools to evaluate and optimize coverage, capacity, and performance

  • Proficiency with network design software, RF propagation tools, post-processing tools, drive-test/scan data, crowdsourced data, and GIS-based analytics

  • Experience with translating technical findings into investment recommendations, assessing cost/benefit, feasibility, performance impacts, and alignment with strategic objectives.

  • US citizenship or permanent resident and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability

Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Experience supporting federal government clients

Don’t think you have everything for this role but are still very interested? Please don’t hold back from applying because you may not have it all. You can learn and grow with us. We're looking for someone who is coachable, unflappable in navigating challenges, resourceful in learning new skills, innovative in challenging the status quo, excellent in writing, analytical in thinking, skilled in prioritization, and a rapport builder with clients and colleagues.
