Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including physical assessments and detailed reviews of medical histories.
• Deliver high-quality patient care by effectively interviewing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with various internal medicine conditions.
• Educate patients and their families on preventative health measures and the importance of early detection of health issues.
• Collaborate with physicians to create individualized treatment plans utilizing the latest evidence-based practices and medical technology.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and ensuring adherence to best practices in patient care.
• Manage patient documentation in our electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal guidelines.
• Provide timely referrals to specialists based on thorough patient assessments and clinical needs.
• Participate in continual staff training sessions and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
• Occasionally cover night calls, ensuring continuous patient support and care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse patient population, providing essential care to adults with a wide range of chronic and acute conditions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Current, unrestricted medical licensure in Illinois, along with either board eligibility or board certification.
• A valid DEA license is necessary for prescribing controlled substances.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and team members.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physician Assistant in an Internal Medicine setting.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly in managing patient documentation and care coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to participate in quality improvement programs, highlighting a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Compensation and Benefits
