Job description

The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies.
We are seeking an experienced a Construction Project Estimator to prepare and validate cost estimates for building and infrastructure projects, including reviewing contractor and designer estimates, analyzing change orders, and developing independent cost assessments to support negotiations and project delivery.
Salary Range: $160K/Year-$200K/Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate initial and comprehensive detailed cost estimates for designated projects to assist the Project/Construction Manager in developing a negotiating strategy.
  • Compile estimates for change orders to aid Management in formulating their negotiating stance.
  • Assist in price negotiations and conduct analyses of claims.
  • Prepare construction cost estimates based on provided drawings, specifications, and sketches.
  • Assess the validity of contractor claims and proposals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8-15 years of full-time professional experience in construction cost estimating for facilities or school building construction projects
  • Diploma from a recognized college/university with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Knowledge of current local construction labor and material costs.
  • Experience in developing and estimating the scope of work for change orders.
  • Ability to develop scope of work based on RFI/RFC answers and estimates the detailed costs of those scopes of work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
