Position Summary:
In conjunction with the Activity Director, plans, organizes,communicates, and assists to achieve results in providing excellent residentcare. To provide a stimulating environment and increase functioning levels ofresidents through daily activities.
Essential Functions:
Because BrookHavenexists to care for our residents, regular attendance and punctuality are essentialto provide quality care.
Must be in good physical condition asthe position requires the ability to stand on one's feet throughout the day, aswell as, push, pull, move and/or lift repetitively a minimum of 10 pounds up togreater than 50 pounds.

Must be able to complete performancerequirements independently while using good judgment as well as have theability to harmoniously work with others.
Must be able to read, write andunderstand the English language.
Position Responsibilities:
Regular, punctual attendance.
Plan and lead a variety of daily activities,both group and individual, including arts/crafts, music, recreational games,sensory stimulation, cognitive activities and discussion groups at variousscheduled hours.
Ability to use motivational techniqueson residents.
Takes daily attendance and completesduty checklist as well as cleanup after the conclusion of the activity.
Complete plan of care for individual residentsas needed.
Document resident progress toward identifiedgoals.
Attend required in-service education.
Must be ableto push a wheelchair/geri chair with resident in it.
Document resident progress towardsidentified goals.
Communicates effectively withresidents, families, staff, visitors and all others.
Knowledge of state regulations and howthey apply to activity programming.
Computer literate.
Transport residents for special eventsper bus
Schedule beauty shop and manicureappointments.
All otherduties as assigned.
EducationRequirements:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience Requirements:
Prefer 2 years of working experience in Activities.
