Job Description The Full Stack Java Core Developer role will have complete accountability of the end-to-end development across the n-tier architecture. The candidate should have experienced Component Development, including microservices, across the technology stack and should have a solid understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back-end languages.
The full stack developer will join a small team that collaborates with other cross-functional teams, and leverages new technologies and time-tested paradigms to solve challenges for both front-end and back-end, eventually delivering an engaging experience to all our Ka-Globe.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create scalable, maintainable, and reliable services that process very large quantities of structured and unstructured data.

  • Build services that support streaming data to enable business to adapt in real-time.

  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, such as, automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.

  • Regularly review work with and from peers to improve personal knowledge of the system, ensuring that code changes meet business goals and technology best practices

  • Understand the design of services and code services as designed. Maximize the reusability of existing code.

  • Conduct unit testing and other levels of testing, as may be required.

  • Provide support during the troubleshooting and investigation of issues, within the different phases of the SDLC.

  • Identify opportunities to continuously deliver and integrate, to optimize the environment, to operationalize performance monitoring, and to implement quality and validation gates to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

  • Ensure compliance to internal standards and guidelines, especially pertaining to security, data privacy, and customer experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fundamental knowledge of Java (preferably, Java 21) and SQL. At least 1 year of professional Software Development experience in Java 8 and SQL is preferred, but newly graduates with sufficient background on the said technologies are welcome.

  • A good understanding of Design Patterns. Understanding and implementation of Enterprise Integration Patterns is a plus.

  • Basic technical experience and business knowledge in agile software development life cycle or related disciplines/processes are preferred.

  • Good written and oral communication skills, which includes ability to understand functional requirements and translate them to technical solutions.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

Must Have:

  • Java 21 programming language knowledge and experience.

  • Knowledge and experience on database design and query language (SQL).

  • Experience in automated unit testing.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc), containerization and serverless platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OKD), and CI/CD tools (Maven, SonarQube, Jenkins, et al).

  • Familiarity with back-end development frameworks (Springboot, Quarkus, etc.)

  • Proficiency with configuration management.

  • Appreciation for clean and well-documented code.

  • Experience in Test-driven and Behavior-driven Development.
