Job description

About Us

Daat Lab is an AI venture studio that collaborates directly with businesses to transform deep domain expertise into valuable, commercial-grade AI products. We assist companies in identifying and validating high-impact, AI-feasible use cases. Our process spans from initial ideation and building a proof of concept to developing a fully commercializable product and successfully launching it in the market. We maintain an active presence across multiple sectors, including real estate, digital marketing/e-commerce, and health, with an ambitious goal of adding one new product to our portfolio every month.

About the Role

We are looking for a software engineer to help take concepts from ideas to product. You will work directly with our strategy team and business partners to identify high-value, AI-feasible opportunities, shape product direction, and execute quickly. You’ll own the full product cycle including: discovery, prototyping, building, shipping, and iteration, often across multiple projects at once. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and likes being close to customers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own multiple projects from end to end: brainstorming product concepts, generating POCs to be evaluated and owning builds to reach a minimum viable product.
  • Build full-stack applications (backend, frontend, data layer, infra, deployment, and monitoring).
  • Experiment with AI functionality on each case: classical ML when needed (forecasting, scoring, classification), plus LLM/agent workflows and evaluation loops
  • Establish engineering standards: code quality, CI/CD hygiene, logging/analytics, basic security
  • Work directly with design partners and ship weekly updates

Requirements

  • You should have:
    • 3+ years shipping full-stack products end-to-end
    • Strong Python and modern web stack (React/Next.js + APIs + DB + deployments)
    • Data processing and Machine learning fundamentals (pandas, Sklearn, pytorch/tensorflow, model evaluation)
    • Experience experimenting with LLMs and Agent frameworks (Open AI SDK, Google ADK, Langchain/Langraph, MCP)
    • Comfort with ambiguity, fast cycles, and customer-facing iteration
  • What Success Looks Like:
    • Ship multiple POCs that clearly validate feasibility and ROI
    • Bring at least one concept to a usable MVP with design-partner feedback loops

Benefits

  • Salary: $110 - 140k (full-time hire, will start as a 1099 contractor)

Please note: Daat Lab is a separate entity, unrelated to Alchemy Worx.
