About You

Nutrafol is looking for an Operations Manager that is looking to join a fast growing company and team. You're technically savvy and ready to wear multiple hats. As the Operations Manager you will help assist and support the greater operations team with strategic project management and oversight. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are completed in a thorough and timely manner, ensuring the requirements of the operations team are met. Additionally, you will assist in overseeing various tools such as Magento, Skubana and Salesforce to optimize process and drive growth. Your expertise in managing direct reports, coupled with your fulfillment  management experience, will be instrumental in achieving our operational goals. Your work will be fundamental to the success of the business.

Responsibilities: 

  • Support Operations Leadership in 360 day-to-day operations and project management 
  • Responsible for oversight + implementation of operations related initiatives (both internal and cross functional)
  • Serve as liaison between ops. dept. and external partners when needed, reporting back any necessary information to leadership team
  • Lead and manage direct reports, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure alignment with operational objectives and foster a culture of excellence 
  • Review + improve all internal processes and communicate SOPs to all stakeholders on a quarterly basis
  • Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks with corrective action plans while working under strict deadlines
  • Oversees and reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics.
  • Own carrier network performance, including monitoring service levels, cost, delivery SLAs, exception management, and supporting carrier optimization initiatives in partnership with 3PLs and transportation providers
  • Support retail operations and fulfillment execution, including a strong understanding of EDI process flows (e.g., PO receipt, ASN creation, invoicing), and partner cross functionally to ensure accurate inventory flow, compliant order processing, and service level alignment across wholesale and retail channels
  • Drive analytics and insights across operations, leveraging data to inform decision making and continuous improvement initiatives

Supporting Responsibilities (as needed): 

  • Daily oversight of department systems including (but not limited to) Magento, Skubana, and Salesforce 
  • Oversee the fulfillment process, including inventory management + order processing
  • Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify trends, track key performance indicators, and make data driven decisions to drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with the rest of the Operations team and appropriate stakeholders to implement new processes/procedures and monitor operational activities 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or similar field of study.
  • 4-6 years experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Nutraceutical, Wellness, or CPG industries; startup/high growth company experience is a plus, with brand experience preferred
  • 1-2 years of managerial experience, including hiring, coaching and mentoring
  • Operational Management Systems and 3PL experience is required
  • Knowledge of eCommerce business model with proficiency in using Magento, Skubana, and Salesforce, or similar ERP and CRM systems
  • Strong organizational, time management, communication, process orientation and problem-solving skills.
  • In-state and out-of-state traveling required for on-site audits and 3PL visits (one to two times a year). 
  • A flexible mindset willing to accommodate the potential need for weekend and late night coverage.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills to coordinate project activities
  • Experience in analysis and documentation of functional requirements for ecommerce projects.
  • Ability to multi-task that can manage several projects under a tight deadline and accommodate any changes. 
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with operational skills to ensure self-directed projects and ideas are seen through to execution
