Summary

The Truck Fueler will report directly to the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible of operation and refueling of all vehicles that are returned to the yard on a daily basis. The Truck Fueler will track, monitor and measure the fuel being dispensed into each unit while keeping accurate nightly records to insure all trucks are fueled on time.

Job Description

  • Fuels all vehicles returned to the yard on a daily basis
  • Operates vehicle in accordance with Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA)/Department of Transportation (DOT) requires as well as all local, state and federal requirements
  • Track, monitor and measure fuel being dispensed into each unit
  • Keep accurate nightly records to insure all vehicles are fueled on time
  • Understands and practices operating as prescribed in Athens Services Safety Rules
  • Immediately reports any unsafe situations/service calls to the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor
  • Participates and cooperates in all scheduled training, briefings, and Safety meetings as required by the Company
  • Makes use of standard tools and resources provided by the Company
  • Notifies Fleet Maintenance Supervisor of any incidents/accidents/injures/property damage
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Class A or B Driver's License
  • 1+ years of experience operating a commercial vehicle
  • Must have basic math skills (Add, subtract, multiply & divide)
  • Able to meet all DOT requirements.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual English / Spanish
  • Work experience in the waste, environmental services, energy, or transportation industry.
