Job Summary
Dispatcher/Tower Coordinator coordinates and assists the Operations Manager(s) to ensure that fueling operations at location are performed in a safe, timely, reliable, and cost-efficient manner. Coordinates overall communication between airline operations and company fueling operations personnel.
The expected pay rate is $23.50/hr. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.
Your activities
  • Maintains good situational awareness of all airline and company fueling operations, policies, and procedures and provide for continuous dissemination of pertinent operational information and timely updates to appropriate field leadership and fueling personnel.
  • Maintains professional contact and operational coordination dialogue with airline(s), airport operations, flight control, and fueling department as it pertains to company operations. Always maintains professional attitude and attire adhering to company uniform, dress and conduct codes.
  • Assists with the development of ongoing operational and contingency plans for the optimal utilization of company equipment and resources in support of airline(s) schedule(s).
  • Coordinates and communicates operational problem-solving options/plans with company managers and supervisors and with appropriate airline personnel.
  • Monitors available technological systems including Flight Status Monitor, Weather and Air Traffic Control advisories (i.e., ground stops, delay programs, Etc.), and evaluates their impact when making recommendations for operational plans to support the fueling operation.
  • Maintains appropriate logs and documentation to enable anticipation of problem situations, post event evaluation, and timely/accurate recording and submission of required paperwork and reports. Complete daily shift reports to report any flight irregularities or delay during the shift. Complete a daily fueling delay recap of all delay codes to provide and discuss with airline operations.
  • Coordinates the implementation of the emergency/significant event notification system; ensure appropriate company and airline(s) responsible regulatory Officials are notified; document accordingly.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to assist in ramp and fueling operations which are physical in nature.

Your profile
  • 1 - 3 years' experience of fueling operations preferred
  • Prior airline experience is desirable.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be computer literate, and either possess or have the ability to learn Sabre and Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather
  • High School Diploma and at least one-year certificate from a university, college or technical school, or six-months to one-year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety, operational, and procedural manuals. Ability to write clear, concise reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of people to include the airline customers, fueling company personnel, and the airport authority.
