Job Summary:

We are hiring for a Finance Business Partner to serve as a strategic partner with our Fuels Marketing business unit leader. This role will be the primary finance liaison for the SVP, Fuels Marketing to understand strategic goals, challenge assumptions, drive accountability, and provide financial guidance. The Finance Business Partner will also collaborate with accounting, FP&A, and operational teams to ensure alignment on financial reporting and strategy, translating of complex data for non-financial stakeholders. This position stays abreast of economic/financial trends to develop business strategies and tactics. This position is based in Waltham, MA and requires a minimum of 4 days a week in the office.

Job Description:

  • Financial Reporting: Preparing regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), financial results, cost drivers, and profitability metrics. Analyze and interpret financial results, providing actional insights and recommendation. Identify strengths, gaps and recommendation adjustments to close gaps.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead budget development and managment, forecasting/re-forecasting, and variance analysis process for the Fuels Marketing Business Unit.
  • Capital Expenditure Management: Supporting decisions related to capital investments and asset management. Active participant creating a Retail process and system of modeling and supporting all capital planning and deployment.
  • Financial Modeling: Building and maintaining financial models and modeling tools to support investment decisions, pricing strategies, and resource planning. Support business cases and ROI analysis for new initiatives and projects, analyzing of sales opportunities, inventory/expenses, and profitability. Understanding the levers the BU can move to drive or capture revenue.
  • Analysis and Recommendation: Identifying trends, opportunities, and challenges in the Fuels Marketing business unit providing recommendations for improvements always looking for opportunities focused on leverage opportunities with growth.
  • Cost Management: Analyzing and optimizing operating expenses to improve and optimize profitability.
  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with the SVP, Fuels Marketing and other stakeholders, including FP&A and Accounting, in the strategic planning process and financial decision-making to ensure that financial considerations are integrated into business planning and operations. Facilitate communication between Finance departments and other parts of the organization

Additional Job Description:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA, CPA, or CMA a plus).
  • 7+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a related finance or accounting role, including 3+ years of team leadership.
  • Proven ability to influence and challenge stakeholders constructively; comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and dynamic business environment.
  • Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis skills; proficiency in financial planning tools and/or BI tools
  • Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and executive presentation skills; ability to synthesize financials for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Track record of partnering with senior business leaders and influencing strategic decisions.
  • Business acumen with a strong understanding of financial statements and performance metrics.
  • Ability to lead, mentor and coach a team of professionals.

Pay Range:

$136,200.00 - $204,200.00

The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
