This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced, production-driven engineer who can operate independently, maintain high design standards, and provide technical leadership to junior team members. Compensation and benefits are highly competitive and aligned with top-tier industry talent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end OSP fiber design for FTTH, enterprise, and distributed network architecture projects.
  • Develop construction-ready design packages including route maps, splice plans, permit drawings, BOMs, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate permitting activities, easements, ROW requirements, and utility compliance standards.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure design accuracy, constructability, and adherence to client standards.
  • Analyze OTDR test results and document fiber performance metrics.
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor for junior engineers and design staff.
  • Collaborate with field operations, project stakeholders, municipalities, and cross-functional internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Take ownership of projects throughout the full design lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
Required Qualifications
  • 710+ years of OSP fiber design experience within telecom or utility environments.
  • Strong expertise in FTTH design, OSP/ISP integration, broadband infrastructure, and utility coordination.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Spatial, and multiple ISP design platforms.
  • Experience using ESRI, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online (AGOL), or related GIS systems.
  • Strong understanding of fiber construction methods, permitting processes, and field operations.
  • Proven ability to manage production workloads independently while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • Previous experience mentoring, training, or supporting junior engineers preferred.
Key Skills

Strong background in OSP fiber engineering and FTTH/FTTX network design with expertise in utility design coordination, broadband infrastructure deployment, and OSP/ISP integration. Proficient in developing construction-ready drawing packages, splice plans, route mapping, and BOM documentation while ensuring compliance with permitting, ROW, and utility standards. Experienced with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Spatial, ESRI, ArcGIS Pro, and AGOL platforms for telecom network design and GIS-based mapping solutions. Skilled in OTDR analysis, fiber troubleshooting, QA/QC review processes, and maintaining high-quality production standards in fast-paced environments.
