Job description

About the Role

The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing multiple telecommunications construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This individual will ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.

The role will provide leadership to Construction Managers, Supervisors, and field personnel while building strong partnerships with clients, municipalities, utility partners, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple telecom construction projects throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage aerial, underground, fiber optic, coax, and directional drilling operations
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
  • Review project estimates, change orders, and cost reporting
  • Coordinate activities between engineering, permitting, utility, and construction teams
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for clients and stakeholders
  • Lead weekly production and safety meetings
  • Monitor quality control standards and ensure adherence to project specifications
  • Manage subcontractor performance and contract compliance
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and reduce costs
  • Mentor and develop Construction Managers and field leadership personnel
Required Skills & Experience
  • Construction Management experience within telecommunications
  • OSP (Outside Plant) construction experience
  • FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) project experience
  • Fiber optic construction experience
  • Experience managing aerial and underground telecom construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of telecom safety procedures and compliance requirements
  • Experience leading teams, vendors, and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Background
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent telecom projects
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and project scheduling experience
  • Client-facing leadership experience
  • Proven ability to drive operational excellence and team development

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr.
