We are seeking a Software Developer for a 200+ FTE technical development program supporting the Sponsorโ€™s Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM /ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes and Digital Policy Management. The Software Engineer will work with a large team of developers, software engineers and data engineers. The successful candidate will support continuity of our customerโ€™s mission by helping to modernize and implement industry standards while ensuring secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of IT systems.

Primary Responsibilities:
ย 
  • Comfort and familiarity in maintaining legacy applications
  • Experience in modernization of legacy applications
  • Ability to write custom scripts to install and configure code in EC2 instances
  • Experience leveraging Amazon Web Services
  • Experience creating RESTful API
  • Experience with spring boot
  • Develop Java and Angular (Typescript) that leverage Elasticsearch
  • Comfort and familiarity designing and utilizing custom ETL methodology
  • Strong communication, design, and documentation skills
  • Strong time and workflow management skills
  • Comfort and familiarity in unit testing, peer code review, and automated testing techniques like Selenium (create, edit, maintain, execute)
  • Work within the parameters of Agile & Scrum methodologies
  • Willingness to mentor and teach junior developersโ€™ community best practices in a constructive fashion
  • Ability to methodically think through new and exciting challenges in a collaborative team environment in order to provide technically sound solutions

Required Qualifications:ย  ย 

  • BS degree and 16+ years of relevant experience
  • Must have experience with Java, spring boot, Angular (Typescript), and the Cloud / Amazon Web Services
  • Prior experience reading and developing solutions to customer requirements and specifications
  • Prior experience developing custom ETL
    ย 
  • Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, selenium, and Rundeck
    ย 
  • Experiencing working in Command Line (RH Linux)

Desired Qualifications

  • Understanding and knowledge with Identity and Accessibility development practices
  • Experience with automation methodologies like selenium
  • Experience with containerization and modular development
  • Familiarity with UI/UX Design
