Gotion Inc. is based in Silicon Valley, CA, currently building a Manufacturing facility in Manteno, IL and has R&D centers in Ohio, China, Japan and Europe. We innovate in the next generation electric vehicle and energy storage technologies (lithium batteries and related systems) with the aim to accelerate electrified transportation and achieve sustainable development. Job Responsibilities
  1. Lead daily communications with the U.S. federal and state governments, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to promote policy dialogue and interest coordination.
  2. Monitor and analyze policy trends in the U.S. in areas such as new energy, battery manufacturing, and supply chain security (e.g., the Inflation Reduction Act, FTC regulations, national security reviews), and produce in-depth reports.
  3. Take the lead in participating in congressional hearings and policy lobbying activities to advocate for tax incentives, subsidies, and compliance exemptions.
  4. Build strategic partnerships with key lawmakers, policy think tanks, and industry alliances (such as NAAT, Batt and AABC).
  5. Manage government communication and public opinion response during crisis events (such as trade sanctions and national security reviews).

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree or above in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, Business Management, or related fields.
  2. At least 15 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or related fields, with a strong track record of managing government relations.
  3. Deep understanding of U.S. policy-making processes, regulatory systems, and industry regulations, especially in the energy sector.
  4. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with government officials.
  5. Strong policy analysis and leadership abilities, with a commitment to high professional ethics and compliance.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package at Gotion, and is determined within a range. This provides you with the opportunity to progress as you grow and advance your career at Gotion. The base pay range for this role is shown below, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experiences, and location.
