Job description

Description:

We are seeking a Systems Integration and Test Engineer to support the system end-to-end bring-up, testing, and demonstration of a 5G SA network. The selected candidate for this role will collaborate with other colleagues for the task of understanding and implementing the network infrastructure of an existing deployment and the plan for the scaling/expanding of the current design.

Key Responsibilities


Networking & Core Services

  • Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 networking (VLANs, routing, switching).
  • Support and maintain DHCP and DNS services.
  • Ensure reliable connectivity between systems and applications.

Linux Systems (Ubuntu)

  • Administer Ubuntu Linux servers, including patching, monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Manage system-level services and troubleshoot operational issues.

Scripting & Tooling

  • Write Python and Bash scripts to automate infrastructure workflows.
  • Develop tooling for monitoring, diagnostics, and environment setup.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of 5G NR architecture, protocols & layers (NAS, RRC, PDCP, RLC, MAC)
  • Experience with network testing procedures โ€“ Call flows & data throughput tests
  • Hands-on experience with Linux system administration
  • Proficiency in scripting with Python and Bash.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and routing
  • familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP/UDP/PING/ARP etc. ยท Experience working with network switches (FS.com, Netgear, etc.), and NICs
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Excellent testing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • BSEE, BSECE, or closely related field

Bonus

  • Experience with deploying existing wireless networks (5G NR, IEEE 802.11)
  • Experience with cloud migration
  • Familiarity with IT automation tools like Ansible or other configuration management tools
