With over $700 million in sales, approximately 450 employees and a presence in more than 4,000 supermarkets and other food service establishments, AFCFC is positioned to innovate and grow, now and in the future.About the RoleThe Fruit Specialist is assigned in variousFreshly Gostore locations around the nation. Responsibilities include operating the Fruit and Vegetable stations in stores which are under AFC Corporate management until assignment ends. This role will prepare fresh, high-quality cut fruit for retail sale while maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards. Training will be provided during a 1-week orientation at a designated location.Key Responsibilities & DutiesWash, peel, cut, slice, and package fresh fruit according to company recipes and portion standards.Ensure all products meet freshness, quality, and appearance standards.Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (e.g., proper handwashing, glove use, temperature control).Properly label, date, and rotate product using standard procedures to ensure quality.Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area, including equipment and prep surfaces.Safely operate knives, cutting tools, and food preparation equipment.Stock and organize the merchandising stations so they look full.Prepare and cut fruit/vegetables to have ready to sell.Post applicable promotional displays (posters, banners, etc.).Promote fruit/vegetables by sampling daily.Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and health regulations.Maintain an active Manager?s ServSafe Certification.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma/GED preferredManager?s ServSafe Certification requiredPrevious food prep, produce, or grocery experience preferred (not required)Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practicesAbility to safely use knives and food preparation toolsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityKnowledge of fruit/vegetable handlingAbility to follow recipes and production guidelinesReliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a teamMust have excellent customer service skillsMust take initiative and be able to work efficiently with minimal supervisionPhysical DemandsProlonged periods standing and preparing foodAbility to work in refrigerated or cold environmentsMust be able to lift up to 25 -50 pounds at timesMust be able to work late and unpredictable hoursManual dexterity for cutting, slicing, and packaging fruitLocation: On-site (stores)
