Our Support Staff application includes all seasonal positions within our Maintenance, Housekeeping and dining hall departments at Frost Valley (such as groundskeepers, housekeepers, kitchen staff, dishwashers). See below for a list of all available roles and a brief description of each:


Groundskeepers: Groundskeepers will assist with maintenance of Frost Valley property and grounds, focusing on making the space safe, healthy, and attractive for both staff and guests. Responsibilities include:

  • Pick-up and delivery of recycling, compost and fire wood
  • Lawn mowing, leaf blowing, power washing, painting and general grounds maintenance
  • Assist with general construction and building maintenance

Housekeepers: This position will be responsible for all of Frost Valleyโ€™s housekeeping needs, which includes the condition/cleanliness of lodges, cabins and all designated public facilities, as well as washing laundry. The ability to work well with other departments is essential. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure a high level of cleanliness in all lodges, cabins and designated public areas according to housekeeping department procedures and quality standards.
  • Deliver/wash linens where required.
  • Dust and clean all surfaces.
  • Vacuum, sweep or mop floors where required.
  • Remove all garbage and recyclables from buildings.
  • Collect and transport used linens to the laundry facility.
  • Fold blankets and store with pillows where required.

Dining Hall Support Staff/Dishwashers: The Kitchen support staff will work in the Frost Valley dining hall and will perform a wide range of duties involved with preparing/serving food. Responsibilities may include:

  • Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables
  • Must be able to operate commercial dishwashing equipment and maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined in the standards provided by Frost Valley
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
  • Prepares or assists in the preparation of hot and cold foods
  • Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables
  • Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with the safety standards
  • Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures
  • Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Load and unload supplies and product when delivered
  • Assist in collection of composting in dining hall
