Job Summary
Barrett Paving Materials is seeking an experienced and skilled Loader Operator to join our team in the Mid West Central region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, specifically loaders, to ensure efficient material handling and support paving operations. The Loader Operator will play a vital role in maintaining productivity and safety on job sites.
Main Responsibilities
  • Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to load, move, and transfer materials such as gravel, asphalt, and concrete.
  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance of the loader and related equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures and promote a culture of safety on the job site.
  • Work collaboratively with crew members to maintain workflow and ensure efficient operations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding job site conditions and material requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including the proper storage of equipment and materials.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding equipment operation and site safety.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience operating front-end loaders and other heavy machinery in construction or paving environments.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to equipment operation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
