Join our team in Aman New York. East meets West and old meets new. Manhattan's iconic Crown Building is reimagined as Aman New York, where the city's original architectural splendour and Aman's harmonious design language collide, reimagining the inimitable tranquillity of Aman in the heart of Manhattan's midtown. With a year-round Garden Terrace, flagship Aman Spa and spacious suites all among the largest in the city.
Role
The Doorperson is responsible for warmly welcoming guests and creating a positive first impression. They oversee the entry and lobby areas, ensuring they meet Aman New York standards and that all guest needs are met.
This position has an hourly compensation rate of $28.84.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hotel entrance and surrounding areas.
  • Warmly welcome arriving guests and offer a fond farewell upon departure, ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience.
  • Open entrance doors for all guests entering or exiting the property.
  • Introduce guests to hotel services and amenities, including outlets, spa, fitness center, and Aman Club.
  • Demonstrate key room features, including lighting, in-room technology, minibar, and amenities.
  • Assist and escort guests during departure in an efficient and professional manner
  • Deliver guest food orders to suites in a timely manner.
  • Transport guest luggage from arrival point to their guestroom.
  • Move luggage during room changes as needed.
  • Run errands as directed by the Manager on Duty.

Job Requirements
  • 1-year experience in a hotel front office, or similar, preferably in a luxury environment.
  • Strong computer literacy, telephone communication skills, and typing proficiency required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English, multi-lingual is a plus.
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
