About the Doorperson position
Are you courteous, alert, and passionate about delivering a warm welcome? We are looking for a Doorperson who will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and lasting first impression through professional, attentive, and friendly service.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
  • Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and offering assistance promptly.
  • Opening doors and welcoming guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assisting with traffic flow at the hotel entrance and ensuring guest safety.
  • Assist with luggage handling as necessary.
  • Coordinating with Bell Desk and Front Office teams for seamless guest arrivals and departures.
  • Calling taxis, assisting with transportation arrangements, and managing guest drop-offs and pickups.
  • Maintaining cleanliness, order, and presentation of the hotel entrance and driveway area.
  • Supporting guests with basic inquiries and directing them to the appropriate departments.
  • Representing the hotel brand with professionalism, courtesy, and confidence at all times.

What we need from you:
  • Previous experience as a Doorperson, Bell Attendant, or similar guest-facing role, preferably in a hotel environment.
  • Friendly, polite, and service-oriented personality.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
  • Carrying, pushing, or lifting items weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Well-groomed appearance and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to remain calm, alert, and courteous at all times.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

The hourly pay rate for this role is $19.47. This rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Washington, DC. This is the starting rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may pay more or less than the posted rate, and the rate may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
