Join Our Team at Kahala Nui – considered to be Hawaii’s Premier Senior Living Community! Kahala Nui is seeking a Full-Time Front Desk Associate to be the welcoming face of our community! This role is a key part of our Resident Services team, providing exceptional service to residents, guests, and staff while supporting our philosophy of Malama.
Available Shifts:
  • DAY (8:00AM - 4:30PM) - 5 shifts per week
  • NIGHT (11:45pm - 8:15am) - 4 shifts per week
POSITION SUMMARY: As part of our Resident Services team, the Front Desk Associate (FDA) provides excellent customer service to all guests, Residents, and staff following Kahala Nui Senior Living's philosophy of Malama. FDAs respond to all inquiries, requests, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner. They also coordinate Kahala Nui's Emergency Response system and procedures, and act as a First Responder as necessary for emergency calls and medical response. As part of these duties, FDAs perform clerical duties for documentation and reporting purposes and may need to administer CPR or First Aid as necessary. FDAs also guide visitors and guests through the community.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Equivalent experience or education may be substituted at the hiring manager’s discretion for educational or work experience requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Typing speed of at least 40 WPM
  • Proficient with computers, telephones, and 2-way radios; familiarity with Outlook, Word, Excel a plus
  • Proof of annual tuberculosis clearance by hire date
  • Must be available to work varied days, including weekends and holidays
  • Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification and confident in using these skills
  • Valid driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
  • Complete vehicle training with Kahala Nui’s Transportation Coordinator to safely drive residents
  • Willingness to train on day, evening, and overnight shifts before settling into assigned schedule.

  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in hospitality.
