Front Desk/Admin Assistant

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Front Desk/Admin Assistant for a 12-week contract opportunity in Elgin, IL! In this role, you'll be the face of the organization, supporting front desk operations, coordinating temporary staffing activities, assisting with onboarding and HR documentation, and ensuring daily office functions run smoothly. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply! Don't miss this temporary role in Elgin, IL.

Front Desk/Admin Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greet and assist visitors, applicants, vendors, and customers
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries
  • Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor badges
  • Order and monitor office supplies and bottled water
  • Serve as the front desk point of contact for general office inquiries
  • Coordinate temporary staffing requests with staffing agencies
  • Prepare and organize onboarding paperwork for temporary employees
  • Communicate scheduling updates with staffing agencies
  • Track and submit temporary employee hours and time records
  • Maintain temporary staffing logs and records
  • Scan, organize, and file HR and temporary employee documentation
  • Maintain an organized supply of temporary employee timecards

Front Desk/Admin Assistant Requirements:

  • Previous administrative or receptionist experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
