We are seeking a junior to mid-level Cloud Engineer to join our Automation Engineers and USDC DevOps practice. While each engineer will bring unique strengths in either cloud or on-premise technologies, both will work together across our DevOps teams, building broad expertise in infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and platform support. Youll have a designated team home but will routinely participate in cross-team projects, training, and knowledge sharing, gaining hands-on exposure to a diverse set of tools and environments.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and support CI/CD pipelines and automation in both cloud (GitLab, AWS, EKS, Terraform, Docker) and on-prem (Jenkins, OpenShift, Ansible) contexts.
  • Participate in infrastructure provisioning and application deployment automation across both environments.
  • Troubleshoot, document, and continuously improve deployment, monitoring, and security automation for all platforms.
  • Engage with both the cloud and on-prem teams, proactively learning primary and secondary stacks through onboarding, peer programming, and joint solutioning.
  • Share learnings and best practices across the DevOps organization to reduce silos and accelerate overall capability.

Requirements
  • Must have a bachelors degree in computer science or related field.
  • Must have an Active DOD Secret Clearance
  • Minimum of 3+ Years of experience as a Cloud Engineer
  • Minimum of 2+ years experience with infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and platform support.
  • Must have experience with GitLab, AWS, EKS, Terraform, Docker.
  • Must have Jenkins, OpenShift, Ansible experience.
  • Must have exceptional ability to break down complex situations and identify root causes for both technical and process-related issues
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical users and collaborate effectively with development teams
  • Must have the proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply skills in evolving technical environments
