We are looking for a Systems Engineer who is passionate about solving complex problems and wants to make a real impact on the Joint Precision Approach and Landing System (JPALS) and adjacent programs. In this role, you'll take ownership of defining and evolving requirements for a fielded GPSbased approach and landing system used in some of the most demanding operational environments. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver highquality, integrated system solutions.

What You Will Do
Support the JPALS and JPALS-adjacent programs
Help elicit, derive, and define systemlevel and subsystemlevel requirements
Translate customer and stakeholder needs into clear, testable engineering requirements
Apply systems thinking to understand how hardware, software, and interfaces interact
Work closely with senior engineers and follow guidance from the team lead
Learn to develop and maintain requirements in IBM Rational DOORS, including traceability and change analysis
Assist with scripts to automate documentation flows to and from DOORS
Help define system and subsystem interfaces and contribute to ICDs and architecture artifacts
Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and requirement assessments
Support verification planning and coordinate with test engineering teams

Qualifications You Must Have
Experience in systems engineering concepts such as requirement derivation, interface definition, integration, or verification
Ability to create or maintain technical documentation (specifications, ICDs, or similar)
Familiarity with IBM Rational DOORS or other requirements tools
Exposure to digital engineering tools (Cameo, Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, Confluence)
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Qualifications We Prefer
Understanding of the Systems Engineering lifecycle
Exposure to Agile tools (Jira, Confluence)
Experience in GPS/PNT, avionics, or control systems
Familiarity with verification matrices, TRDs, or systems engineering planning concepts
Familiarity with or exposure to ModelBased Systems Engineering (MBSE)

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
