What You'll Be Doing:

- Designing high-performance multilayer PCBs for aerospace, defence and industrial applications
- Translating electrical and mechanical requirements into robust, manufacturable PCB layouts
- Performing component placement, constraint definition, routing and design optimisation
- Supporting signal integrity and power integrity considerations throughout the design process
- Working closely with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing and test engineers to achieve optimum product performance
- Participating in design reviews and contributing technical input to architecture and implementation decisions
- Creating fabrication, assembly and manufacturing documentation
- Supporting Design for Manufacture (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Test (DFT) activities
- Ensuring designs meet quality, reliability and compliance requirements
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and engineering best practice

- Experience with high-speed digital design and layout techniques
- Knowledge of PCB fabrication, assembly and test requirements
- Familiarity with HDI technologies and multilayer PCB construction
- Experience working within cross-functional engineering teams
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively

- Experience using Siemens EDA Xpedition tools, including:

- Experience supporting signal integrity and power integrity analysis
- Experience working in aerospace, defence, embedded computing or other high-reliability industries
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs
- Typically 10+ years of PCB design experience involving complex, high-speed electronic products
