Position Summary
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is seeking an Academic Gynecologic Pathologist for a tenure-track/tenured, fixed-term, or variable track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We are a subspecialized surgical pathology division, and preference will be given to candidates with fellowship training and/or expertise in Gynecologic Pathology. Those who are willing to provide additional coverage in Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology and/or Cytopathology are also encouraged to apply. Participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards and effective communication with an active clinical care team that provides statewide integrated care is required. 
The successful candidate will be eligible for membership in the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, with opportunities to collaborate with a robust array of basic, translational, and clinical researchers. UNC is also home to the NCI-funded SPORE in Endometrial Cancer and a unique community of clinicians and researchers with a vested interest in advancing women's health research and care, the Women's Health Multidisciplinary Consortium (WHMC). In addition to teaching clinical residents and fellows, opportunities are available for teaching in the School of Medicine, Graduate School, and Undergraduate School.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Applicants must have an MD, DO or other MD-equivalent degree, be board-certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology, and be eligible to obtain a medical license in North Carolina.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Those who are willing to provide additional coverage in Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology and/or Cytopathology are encouraged to apply.
