Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, communicative and organized Nutrition Specialist who is passionate about treating obesity as a disease to improve the myriad chronic health conditions associated with weight- including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea and more- to join our team. In this role, you will see patients via telehealth and work with a multidisciplinary team including medical providers and exercise physiologists to provide best-in-class care and outcomes for your patients - communicating with them both synchronously and asynchronously. This role is perfect for those who want a flexible working schedule and the ability to work from anywhere.
Minimum Requirements
  • We are looking for health coaches with:
  • at least a 4 year Nutrition and Dietetics degree, with at least 1 year experience coaching lifestyle and habit changes using nutrition and exercise. The Nutrition Specialist will work closely under a lead NS to provide evidence-based obesity science and nutrition advice.
  • Must reside in the US or legally allowed to work in the United States (NPI required)

OR
We are looking for dietitians with:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food &/or Nutritional Science.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical nutrition as a Registered Dietitian , specifically working with patients with Diabetes or other metabolic diseases.
  • Current registration w/ the Commission on Dietetic Registry (CDR) in good standing.
  • Knowledge of clinical competencies based on Nutrition Care Standards of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).

For either type of applicant:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Strong proficiency and experience with medical technology including EMR and mobile apps.
  • Collaboration & problem solving skills required.
  • Ability to manage a large patient load and multiple platforms both in face to face and app communication.
  • Strong ability to empathize and connect with patients on a regular long term basis.
  • Experience and comfortability working with our proprietary tech app.
  • Past start up experience a plus but not required.

Bonus Qualifications
  • Previous experience in curriculum development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of behavior change.
  • Previous individual, small group and large group/classroom training/teaching experience.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Arabic a strong bonus and will be compensated for.

Position Specifics
  • Part time contractor ramping to full time salaried opportunity
