Human Resource Coordinator

The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including compensation and benefits packages, record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. This position resolves benefits-related problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations. The Human Resource Coordinator makes that certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed.

Compliance:

The Compliance coordinator ensures the company's operations and employees adhere to the laws that regulate that particular industry. This role provides audit information to management by researching and analyzing data, preparing reports, conducting risk assessments, and enforcing corrective action where necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Human Resources:

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process.
    • Coordinates job postings, reviews resume, tracks status of candidates in HRIS
    • Converses with candidate during and after the recruiting process.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the HR director.
  • Onboarding
    • Sends New Hire Packet, administers onboarding checklist and ensures tasks and paperwork are completed timely.
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Prepares and files appropriate documents into new-employee files.
  • Administers benefit plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
  • Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
  • Assists with conducting audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
  • Assists with processing of terminations.
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Assists in creating and updating vendor contacts for all HR processes.
  • Maintains knowledge of up-to-date and in-depth human resources legal requirements and regulatory compliance practices.
  • Assists with updating company policies and ensures legal compliance.
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions in the HR department.
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Markley Group information assets in accordance with the company's information security program.

Compliance:

  • Assists with compliance programs, memos, and meetings.
  • Reviews all new products, systems, or processes to ensure compliance.
  • Assists compliance with document control frameworks.
  • Supports various departments by collecting and coordinating internal compliance data with auditors and various departments.
  • Ensures complete, accurate, and timely audit information is reported to Management and/or Risk Committees.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practices.
  • Assists with identifying and assessing areas of significant business risk.
  • Conducts ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks.
