Job description

Mission Integration Engineer
The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact on national security. You understand your customer's environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer focused engineering solution.
As a Mission Integration Engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape the Navy's mission by leading engineering efforts to develop, operate, and maintain complex technology systems using engineering principles, theories, and concepts. You will support full lifecycle systems engineering including design, development, integration, sustainment, and documentation. Grow professionally by merging your systems engineering skills with client delivery to create solutions that solve sustainment and systems engineering problem sets. Join our team and create the future of information assurance systems for the Navy.
You will serve as the operational and technical lead for mission-level capability integration, ensuring systems, users, processes, and technologies function together to achieve mission objectives and warfighter outcomes. You will conduct continuous engagement with Fleet operators, Human Systems Integration (HSI) practitioners, and stakeholders to identify operational challenges, user needs, workflow inefficiencies, and capability gaps that impact mission effectiveness. You will translate operational needs, HSI findings, mission analyses, and warfighter feedback into actionable engineering requirements, technical specifications, architectural decisions, and implementation priorities. You will develop and maintain mission architectures, mission threads, functional architectures, interface control documents (ICDs), and system integration frameworks that ensure capabilities are engineered and integrated to support real-world operational employment. You will analyze mission threads and operational workflows end-to-end to identify functional gaps, integration risks, human-system performance issues, and opportunities for capability improvement across the system portfolio. You will facilitate requirements development, decomposition, analysis, maturation, traceability, and implementation, ensuring requirements remain aligned to validated operational needs and mission outcomes throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will ensure mission needs, operational workflows, and user interactions are accurately represented within systems engineering artifacts, digital engineering products, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models.
You will evaluate system specifications, architectures, and technical solutions against mission objectives, operational use cases, and user performance requirements, providing actionable recommendations to engineering, acquisition, and stakeholder teams. You will support the development, integration, and modernization of hardware, software, and networked systems to improve mission performance, operator effectiveness, and system interoperability. You will support enterprise architecture development by providing mission-level and operational context that ensures architectural decisions reflect actual user needs, operational constraints, and mission execution requirements. You will develop mission-based measures of effectiveness and measures of performance to assess capability delivery, operator performance, and mission outcomes. You will support system test, evaluation planning, and execution by developing operationally representative scenarios that validate technical performance, human-system integration, and end-to-end mission effectiveness. You will conduct mission analysis, operational analysis, task analysis, workflow analysis, and capability gap assessments to inform capability development, prioritization, and engineering investment decisions.
Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience with engineering or systems architectures, including design, development, or integration within the systems engineering process or systems development life cycle
  • 5+ years of experience with systems engineering for Navy or DoD project
  • Knowledge of architecture design, interface control, and system baseline management
  • Ability to review or develop requirements, validation methods, or requirements traceability artifacts
  • Ability to lead Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs), integration working groups, and stakeholder engagements to resolve cross-system challenges, align technical decisions with operational priorities, and facilitate collaboration among government, industry, and stakeholders.
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience developing requirements from user stories and use cases, and working with the user community to collect user stories and use cases
  • Experience working with Test Engineers to perform tracing between requirements repository and test cases
  • Experience working with DoD personnel to develop key performance parameters and derived requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
