Job description

  • Responsible for the receiving and pricing of all department merchandise, including stocking and back stocking.
  • Responsible for receiving and reporting all damaged goods to office and vendors.
  • Maintain Home and Gift Department: keep clean, organized and fully stocked.
  • Exemplifies creativity for all product mixes within the department. (Some product has set guidelines)
  • Execute the daily operational, goals/priorities assigned to you and move with your  “Ace Pace”.
  • Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.
  • Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings.
  • Responsible for checking department email and responding accordingly.
  • Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
  • Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.
  • Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder’s policy, that will discourage shoplifting.
  • Respond to radio requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience.
  • Technically proficient in computer systems including related software.
  • Gather and analyze data and maintain accurate records.
  • Take initiative, assume responsibility, and execute thoroughly.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.
