The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the AFGSC Intelligence Formal Training Unit (IFTU) Course Developer and Lead Instructor, providing guidance and direction to the IFTU Course Director, as well as performing all instructor classroom-related activities and/or revision efforts for the AFGSC IFTU.Qualifications:This position falls under the Air Force Pilot for Position Classification and Improved Processes for Advancement. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as target intelligence analyst conducting complex analysis and production in support of customer requirements.
This position is covered under DCIPS work level (WL) 2 and covers the GG-11 - GG-13 grade levels for pay purposes. The selectee's salary will be set within the salary range based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the position as determined by the selecting official.
Full Performance - Work Level 2: Type of Experience and Education

• • Foundational Knowledge
    • Must have at least a high school diploma or GED plus seven years of relevant experience, or an associate's degree plus five years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree plus three years of relevant experience, or a master's degree plus one year of relevant experience or a doctoral degree and no experience. (Prefered degrees include engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, cyber, data analytics, life sciences, or social sciences)

  • Relevant experience in:
    • Employing intelligence methodologies/tradecraft; data collection/information systems; analytic tradecraft; multi-source intelligence data/information; intelligence analysis; foreign policy analysis; international relations analysis; geopolitical analysis; weapons analysis; and/or military analysis.
• Moderate Weighting/Consideration
  • Relevant experience in:
    • Customer/partner interaction and collaboration.

Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the intelligence process/cycle and the various intelligence disciplines (ie the INTs). Knowledge of the full range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to use multi-source intelligence information systems to capture data in order to make recommendations in developing intelligence capabilities and threat assessments to interpret policy and commit resources.
2. Knowledge of analytical tradecraft principles, concepts, and methods to produce detailed analyses of complex information/situations attained from multiple sources, to include database manipulation. Knowledge of cognitive biases, competing hypothesis, and formation of critical arguments/evidence.
3. Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint partners, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations. Knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and the Standards, Guides, and Best Practices of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).
4. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients. Skill in analytical writing and briefing.
5. Ability in oral and written delivery of intelligence in the form of briefings, conferences, VTCs, and intelligence production processes
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
1. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice rug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
