Engineering Full-time San Francisco, New York, and Remote

Senior iOS Engineer

Build the core Moments iOS experience — on-device ML, photo processing, and a beautiful SwiftUI interface.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced iOS engineer to own critical parts of the Moments app. You'll work on on-device face recognition, photo pipeline optimization, and crafting a delightful user experience. This is a high-impact role where your work ships directly to users every week.

What you'll do
  • Design and build new features in SwiftUI with a focus on performance and polish
  • Optimize on-device ML pipelines for face detection and recognition
  • Own the photo processing pipeline — from camera roll ingestion to upload
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on API design and data sync
  • Improve app startup time, memory usage, and battery efficiency
  • Participate in code reviews and help define engineering best practices
What we're looking for
  • 4+ years of professional iOS development experience
  • Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI
  • Experience with Core ML, Vision framework, or on-device ML
  • Understanding of photo/media frameworks (PhotoKit, AVFoundation)
  • Track record of shipping polished consumer apps
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Nice to have
  • Experience with face recognition or computer vision
  • Background in privacy-preserving ML techniques
  • Contributions to open-source iOS projects
