Job description

Covenant Woods, in Hanover VA, a Continued Care Retirement Community, is a multi-faceted organization which allows for unparalleled growth for our employees. Covenant Woods provides a truly unique experience - not only for the residents who call Covenant Woods home, but for our team of dedicated, compassionate, and talented employees who choose to make Covenant Woods their second home.
Covenant Woods is seeking a Procurement Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate works well with others and alone. Attention to detail is a must. This position maintains medical and office supply inventory across the entire campus. This includes ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing products and supplies. The individual manages physical inventory by accepting shipments and stocking storage rooms and medical supply closets, with some computer activity required to track usage of supplies. This position is in person, full-time day shift.
SHIFT: Monday -Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM (This position is Mon-Fri only, please select weekend availability on application)
SOME FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
  • Receiving and tracking procurement packages daily
  • Issue items based upon requests from various departments
  • Stock supply rooms and medical supply closets
  • Order medical and office supplies
  • Assist with tracking and maintaining storage space for the facility

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Must be high school graduate or equivalent. Must communicate fluently in English. Computer literate. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work requires standing and walking for half of the workday
  • Must be able to lift an average of 25 pounds up to 50 pounds
  • Carry / Push an average of 10 pounds up to 50 pounds
