Job description

Duties:

Our client is looking for Computer Technicians to support our Navy Surface Warfare Center customer at Port Hueneme (NSWC-PHD). We are seeking motivated individuals to provide technical and engineering support for the Common Display Systems (CDS), Consoles, Displays, Peripherals (CDP), and Common Processing System (CPS), Networks, Processing, Storage (NPS). Duties will include assembly, kitting, testing, and developing/reviewing documentation and engineering drawings. Applicants will:
- interpret and review production fabrication and assembly drawings.
- update standard Navy logistics products including Technical Manuals, Planned Maintenance System documentation, and system/installation drawings.
- interact with the CDS/CPS engineering and logistics teams to review and update technical documentation.
- perform troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment.
- work with standard tools to disassemble and assemble equipment at the Lowest Replaceable Unit level.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Military enlisted classification in a computer skill career (MOS, NEC, etc...)

Desirable but not required:
U S Navy certification in Fire Control Navy Enlisted Codes (NECs) related to AEGIS Computing Infrastructure or Networks.
Working knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD or other engineering drawing software.

Skills and Abilities:

At least four years of experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and testing computer systems.
Prior experience working with DoD/military computing systems.
Technical writing skills.
Excellent verbal communications skills and know how to orchestrate job tasks between multiple group organizations.
Ability to take charge and work with minimum supervision.
